Hi folks,

Has anyone with a thinkpad found the mwavemd module loaded onto their system from the SuSE 7 series distributions? Mine says it can't find the module major-10-219. It's in modules.conf but locate and find don't locate or find it either.
You have to use an alias in modules.conf eg. I've got a Lucent modem on my Thinkpad so I've got an entry: alias char-major-62 lt_serial This will show your current setup: # modprobe -c If it doesn't show up there you'll have to do a Google/Deja search & find out the real name of the module. BTW, I just compiled 2.4.17 and found that all the modules were placed in a dir not searched by modprobe so that may or may not be a problem also. -- Frank *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* Boroughbridge.
