Hi, I'm Pete Spencer, ICT co-ordinator at the Harry Carlton School, Notts. We are at present running WinNT and 95 but we are going to get a new school built under the PFI initiative. The school will be ready in 2002 and will contain 10 networks of 50 machines. Linux is my operating system of choice but I have to justify it to everyone involved in planning the new school. The problem seems mainly to do with compatibility with software used at home by both staff and pupils. Has anyone had to answer similar questions - and what were your answers? Cheers Pete
