I dunno why this isn't working on this 'ere fresh installation of suse 9.0. I've never had a problem with this before and don't have a clue what the error messages in K3b are trying to tell me. It's just worked out of the box with other computers ... The setup is a DVD and a LG burner. K3b faults out on an attempted copy of the SUSE 9.0 CD (I installed from DVD but need a CD install on a pc for my daughter, and of course the suse cd won't read on her cd won't it, so I am trying to copy from a CD reader that actually reads the disk, and if can't get to burn can't install her nor help out Simon who needs a cd copy to replace a duff disc he's got in his set...). The error messages are these: No cdrdao driver found Please select one manually in the device settings For most generic drives this would be "generic-mmc" Cancelled (surprise surprise) all current files removed. Well, when I go to the configure K3b menu option it shows these devices: Reader: Memorex DVD etc. Writer HL-DT-ST CDRW GCE-852... (whatever is behind the dots I can't seem to get expanded to read). Nowhere can I find anything remotely like generic-mmc, nor can I find anywhere to write this in. Whatever the hell generic MMC is ...! I'm stuck. What am I looking for?
