[opensuse-conference] oSC13 dates
Hello everyone, During the kick-start meeting for the conference 2013, we set the dates that the conference will take place. Since we didn't agree if we'll have 3 or 4 days conference, please define the dates, so the Social Media team will start promoting the event. Furthermore we need a logo for creating events, communities, groups in social media networks. Thanks a lot, The Social Media Team, Zoumpis & diamond_gr -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-conference+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-conference+owner@opensuse.org
Final dates for osc13 will be announced soon.
I hope that artwork people will come up with something awesome for
logos, banners and generally graphics until then :)

It was my impression that we did agree. If I recall correctly the target is as follows: - soft start July 18 with a pre-conference event in the evening - full day programs July 19, 20, 21 - soft ending July 22 However, these are only target dates until the venue is confirmed. Yeap, that's correct.
However until we formally announce the dates (along with venue), we
should not start making FB event pages.
But we could begin to shaping up some artwork, some small paragraph we
will put in social media accounts, banners for twitter/fb/connect etc.
I am hoping we can have some artwork guru presence soon :)

For my understanding, this means that the conference will ~1 day shorter then last conferences?
However, these are only target dates until the venue is confirmed.

Not quite. oSC12 and oSC13 were both 4 day conferences and osc13 will also be a 4 day conference July 19 - 22. However, with the "soft ending" we were trying to express that we expect that people leave during the day on Monday. For better or worse it appears to be the case at almost any conference that people leave on the last day of the event instead of the day after. We will still plan on having sessions on the 22nd. At least this is my understanding of the discussion we had during the kick-off meeting.
