http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1095699 Bug ID: 1095699 Summary: Upgrade Leap 42.3 to 15.0 -> slow boot & ACPI kernel error Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 15.0 Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel Assignee: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: sb56637@gmail.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Hi, since upgrading a Thinkpad T440s from Leap 42.3 to 15.0, I am getting a new error message during bootup, before Plymouth loads: -------------------------- Error parsing PCC subspaces from PCCT ACPI Error: Needed type [Reference], found [Integer] ffff880118c50e10 (20170303/exresop-103) ACPI Exception: AE_AML_OPERAND_TYPE, While resolving operands for [Store] (20170303/dswexec-461) ACPI Error: Method parse/execution failed [\_PR.CPU0._PDC] (Node ffff880119d829b0), AE_AML_OPERAND_TYPE (20170303/psparse-543) -------------------------- Subjectively the boot time feels slower than before, although I don't have firm reference numbers. Apart from that the system appears to be working OK. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

You can ignore it unless you see any real problems related with it. About the boot time, try to install the old Leap 42.3 kernel (with --oldpackage option), boot with it, and give the dmesg output. Then we can compare the timestamps. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
