[Bug 954189] New: Boxes does not list virtual machines except when it (rarely) does
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=954189 Bug ID: 954189 Summary: Boxes does not list virtual machines except when it (rarely) does Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: 2015* Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME Assignee: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: badshah400@gmail.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- gnome-boxes usually fails to list the existing VM's on my system. After closing and restarting the boxes a few times, it might show them up. Funnily, starting boxes from the terminal lists all VM's fine every time. I don't even know what logs to produce -- nothing seems to be logged to journalctl or such. My typical workflow when using boxes is to open and close it a few times before actually staring to work. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

What helps: touch /run/user/1001/libvirt/libvirt-sock
After that gnome-boxes is able to see my saved VM again.
Spoke too soon: that does not help whatsoever. It was just a lucky coincidence that one time! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
