Not just that, it also looks for the kernel config in that directory. It can't find it as it's actually called "config" rather than "config-$kernelversion". The naive fix would be to not use the canonical path. However seems like kdumptool also looks at /boot/vmlinuz and that one needs one level of dereferencing.
