However gnome-main-menu.wa.po is fully (or nearly) sinds 10.3. For trunk it is: gnome-main-menu.wa.po 142 100 % gnome-packagekit.wa.po 25 3 % gnome-patch-translation.wa.po 110 100% How is it possible that it still apears in English? The problem is that the Walloon translation package for Gnome doesn't install gnome-main-menu.mo: djan@linux-kewa:/usr/share/locale/wa/LC_MESSAGES> ls gnome-main-menu* ls: cannot access gnome-main-menu*: No such file or directory While for the French one it does: djan@linux-kewa:/usr/share/locale/fr/LC_MESSAGES> ls gnome-main-menu* gnome-main-menu.mo Exactly the same happens in 11.0. So, to fix the bug, we should include this mo in the translation package. Is there something wrong with the script? Or are there some errors in the PO file? The problem is that currently gnome-main-menu lives in both upstream and internal translation worlds. The upstream svn.gnome.org repository has translations included and we use those translations for openSUSE releases. There is no wa.po file upstream so thats why it is not shown translated. For SLED10 and for SLE11 we use the internal translations and the wa.po file will be included. This is far from an ideal situation and I know there has been some work on getting those 2 worlds merged but as far as I know it's not functional yet. If you would like to commit the wa.po file upstream I will push an update containing that new file for openSUSE.
