What did you mean by creating all these attachments (in comments 13 through 15)?
1-Demonstration of comment 15's use case answer to comment 11 2-offer of proof that startx can work on 42.3 (not so easy except through physical presence. sequence of events used: A-each session started from saved session with only Konsole running; B-a script {xfetch} that collects various info states; C-date; D-screenshot made). What I forgot to include in B output is content of the unique custom "xorg.conf" file each user used. Note in all screenshots: 3 on kernel cmdline (startup in multi-user.target), same hostname, different login names, different vttys, different xrandr output, and all shot within seconds of each other.
Is it a suggestion to try similar commands on my system and post the results?
