https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=350717 Summary: Boot pauses and NIC not detected with ACPI enabled Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: james@usr-local-bin.org QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Beta-Customer Created an attachment (id=188741) --> (https://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=188741) Output of dmesg My wife's just got a new laptop, it's a Samsung R60plus which is based on an Intel Core2Duo (x86_64). Installation with ACPI enabled worked fine but trying to boot post-installation delays displaying the bootsplash unless acpi=off is specified for so long that until I started typing the output when it freezes (copying from her screen) I thought it was failing. Having determined that it doesn't actually fail, I'll attach the output of dmesg. Interestingly, when it's left for long enough to boot, the network adapter (which uses the sky2 module) isn't detected - this was also the case during installation. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
