--- Comment #23 from Martin Seidler 2010-06-03 12:10:32 UTC ---
With GNOME ISO 650 (openSUSE-GNOME-LiveCD-i686-Build0650-Media.iso) started
there is still this lazy desktop effect.
It disappeared if in "Desktop Effects" = "Simple CompizConfig Settings Manager"
the "Enable desktop effects" was clicked off.
There was no other compiz manager in the "Control Center" to set all or
specific workarounds on.
Than I marked in "Software Magager - Yast2" for updating and upgrating all
possible from the regular (factory) repostitory (about 7 packages, no compiz to
see).
As "compizconfig-settings-manager - Settings Manager for Compiz (CCSM)" version
0.8.4-2.3 was not installed I marked it for installing. I clicked "Apply" to
run the installation to my RAM disk.
After that I enabled in the "Simple CompizConfig Settings Manager" the desktop
effects and there was again still this lazy effect. So I disabled effects.
I entered the new installed CCSM. Workarounds were enabled. But as I entered
"Workarounds" the "Fix screen updates in XGL with fglrx" was not. So I enabled
it.
After that in "Simple CompizConfig Settings Manager" I enabed desktop effects
again. The lazy effect did not come back.
I think if this status (as desribed) remains in the live CDs to the official
release this would be an unnecessary anti-marketing effect for testing users of
intel graphic. Not many will go as far to test if or in what case 11.3 works.
