I found out something interesting:
My Monitor has two inputs: -> HDMI and VGA (DSUB)
My GFX has 2x DVI;
I have two types of Cables around here.
One HDMI to DVI Cable
One DSUB VGA Cable.
I got an adapter (ATI) VGA (DSUB) to DVI :
Now if i connect both of the cables to the monitor at the same time.
And bot to the Graphicsboard at the same time.
If i specify at grub: vga=1920x1200; Somehow this seems to work. But the screen
is switching on and off sometimes (every 30 secs,) or such. It is just
switching around.
And something very clear:
If i connect either one of the cables (no matter which) as standalone.
When booting the console goes black. If i hear the Sound that KDE has startet,
i can plug the cable to the other DVI and i get picture. (Guess that is
hotplug).
dmesg output is the same as in the attachement. (With the errors). Could it be
that my Graphicsboard needs some fixing about the DVI detection? What can i do
to get this done?
I think getting KMS to work would be a possible resolution about the UMS
stacktrace problem. Because there is no stacktrace with KMS.
Many thanks.
