--- Comment #4 from Lucio Chiappetti 2010-12-21 09:45:38 UTC ---
I saved the above commands in a file and sourced it.
I replied t to the various questions
Do you want to reject the key, trust temporarily, or trust always? [r/t/a/?]
(r):
Reviewing the log a posteriori I note the following two lines
'libtalloc2' is already installed.
No update candidate for 'libtalloc2-3.5.4-5.1.2.x86_64'. The highest available
version is already installed.
Later I got this message
Problem: nothing provides libtalloc.so.2 needed by
Mesa-32bit-7.9.801-57.1.x86_64
Solution 1: keep obsolete Mesa-32bit-7.8.2-1.3.x86_64
Solution 2: break Mesa-32bit by ignoring some of its dependencies
Choose from above solutions by number or cancel [1/2/c] (c):
I replied 1, I hope I did the right thing
The procedure ran to the end, and said
There are some running programs that use files deleted by recent upgrade. You
may wish to restart some of them. Run 'zypper ps'
To play safe I logged out and rebooted.
However after that I tried (as root running KDE, and as an user running fvwm)
to create both an IDL graphics window, or a graphics window with my
application, and the backing store problem I had persists :
- backing store is honoured when the window is (partially) obscured (all wm's)
or moved to a different page in same desktop (fvwm)
- backing store is not honoured when the window is iconized or moved to a
different desktop (all wm's)
