https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=249638 silviu_marin-caea@otpbank.ro changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- OS/Version|SuSE Other |openSUSE 10.2 ------- Comment #3 from silviu_marin-caea@otpbank.ro 2007-04-10 02:37 MST ------- It is not only when ZEN update system runs amok that it consumes 100% CPU. It does that consistently after powering up the machine. For example, on my laptop I have the update-status process consuming 100% CPU for 20 minutes, with or without internet connection. This is pissing all over the autonomy of the laptop. After removing all the ZEN stuff, opensuse updater is able to tell that there's no internet connection and stops wasting CPU cycles after 20 seconds. A quick fix would be that update-status is made aware of the power situation--AC or battery--and runs only on AC. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
