Answer in general:
we don't support this.
Reason:
If you download a PPD from 3rd party, make sure that the coresponding drivers
are downloaded and installed at your system too. A PPD file is able to
reference to a special driver, which might not be part of the openSUSE
distribution.
Only the PPDs which come along in the openSUSE system are tested to be able to
work, or least: should work. :-)
But the PostScript PPD which is named at openPrinting.org should work.
So:
1. Please attache the cups error_log via bugzilla Attachement functionality:
- become root in terminal window, like xterm: su root
- stop cups: rccups stop
- remove the current logfiles: rm /var/log/cups/error*
- start cups: rccups start
- print something
- attache /var/log/cups/error_log
2. Please attache the installed PPD and configuration:
/etc/cups/* (including subdirectory /etc/cups/ppd/*)
3. Attache the downloaded PPD
/usr/share/cups/model/Samsung/<<somefile>>
