Oops, overlooked the last comment.
Michael, according to the connector table the card has:
1. one DVI-I (VGA and DVI combined)
2. one TVout
3. one DVI-D
4. one VGA
connector
I've never seen such a card. If the card has a separate VGA connector it
usually has 3 connectors: DVI-I, TVout and VGA.
You say, that your card has DVI-D (without analog VGA) and your monitor is
presently connected to the VGA output. This contradicts what you say in comment
#5, the the option "HPD" "off" gives you a working display. HPD is only present
on DVI ports. Thus if you have a VGA monitor and this option really makes a
difference your VGA monitor must be connected to DVI-I port thru a DVI2VGA
dongle.
Could you please provide us with a run of rhd_conntest for a monitor connected
to VGA and - if possible - also to the DVI port (the digital and if available
also the analog part)?
