I suspended the machine. Placed an wrapped ice cube on top of the fan area.
Ensured that water didn't get into the machine. Made sure that the laptop is
rested for about an hour. Now the temperature when I touched the surface was
not at all hot. Then, I played a video in youtube and the flash process and X
took 60 and 30 % of CPUs respectively. The machine became hot after about 10
mins and the video started stuttering (kind of breaks and comes as frames). At
this point, I am re-suspending and after waiting for the temperature to go
down, resuming the video, I get the same problems again.
I am not sure if ~10 mins of video usage should make the machine so hot. I
accept that flash is the biggest culprit here but should the machine become hot
for 60% cpu on 10 mins ? Shall I wait and see if the machine shuts down ?
