Plugging headphones into the laptop's own line-out jack disables both the internal speakers and the external ones.
This is expected behavior.
Yes, I was mainly reporting this for the sake of completeness. I would also guess that the built-in speakers are also expected to be mute if speakers are plugged into the docking station's line-out. With headphones plugged in directly into the laptop taking precedence over both, right?
