The printer is connected via a USB cable. I installed a ppd file obtained from http://openprinting.org/show_printer.cgi?recnum=Samsung-CLP-550N into /usr/share/cups/model/Samsung directory. When using yast to install the printer all appears to work until saving the printer configuration. At the point of saving printer queues an error message pops up saying "An error occurred while communicating with the CUPS server while saving queue clp550" "cups(File)DoRequest error: Client-error-bad-request" The above message also appears when trying to print a test page with additional information.
