https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=222479 ------- Comment #29 from ajt@localhype.net 2006-12-14 07:47 MST ------- Hi Stan, (In reply to comment #28)
I am using KDE desktop and have installed the pam_keyring and I also rebooted the system after doing so. The password is still not being saved, so I'd guess that the fix doesn't work with KDE, at least from my try.
I am not exactly sure what to name or where to put the script Roland wrote for KDE users, nor exactly how it works.
Here is how I would personally use it. I'd download the script in /home/aj/bin and then create a new application launcher on my desktop that has /home/aj/bin/nameofscript as the path for the application.
Sorry for my limited experience with Linux.
No need to apologize we're all new at some time.
I'm not sure if he's saying that Evolution then automatically starts when SUSE boots up, or if the script becomes active when you start Evolution.
When you run the script it will automatically start evolution for you.
Anyway, glad the fix is working for some users and hopefully, it will be fixed for KDE users soon, as well.
Cheers, Stan
