Nevertheless murmurd could not access this file on my computer. I could solve the problem by opening the murmurd AppArmor profile in YaST and saving it, causing AppArmor profiles to be reloaded. After this, murmurd started to work like expected. I suppose that the installation script in the RPM package should be extended to trigger the reloading of the AppArmor profile in order to avoid this error (btw, I'm not an expert for AppArmor, so the proposal might be unspecific).
