[Bug 779431] New: mumble-server RPM fails to initialize AppArmor profile on installation
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=779431 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=779431#c0 Summary: mumble-server RPM fails to initialize AppArmor profile on installation Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: triffterer@web.de QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:15.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/15.0 I just installed mumble-server from the official openSUSE 12.1 repositories. When I tried to start it, I got the following error message: Auto configuration failed 140261500102432:error:0200100D:system library:fopen:Permission denied:bss_file.c:169:fopen('/etc/ssl/openssl.cnf','rb') 140261500102432:error:2006D002:BIO routines:BIO_new_file:system lib:bss_file.c:174: 140261500102432:error:0E078002:configuration file routines:DEF_LOAD:system lib:conf_def.c:199: In this BugZilla I found the bug #768692 where it was found that /etc/ssl/openssl.cnf was missing in the AppArmor profile which has aparrently been fixed. Nevertheless murmurd could not access this file on my computer. I could solve the problem by opening the murmurd AppArmor profile in YaST and saving it, causing AppArmor profiles to be reloaded. After this, murmurd started to work like expected. I suppose that the installation script in the RPM package should be extended to trigger the reloading of the AppArmor profile in order to avoid this error (btw, I'm not an expert for AppArmor, so the proposal might be unspecific). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install mumble-server from openSUSE 12.1 repositories 2. Start it on the command line, e. g. murmurd --help Actual Results: The above mentioned error message indicating that murmurd was denied access to /etc/ssl/openssl.cnf Expected Results: See the murmud help screen (or see murmurd starting if you didn't use --help) $ rpm -qi mumble-server Name : mumble-server Version : 1.2.3 Release : 10.3.1 Architecture: x86_64 Install Date: So 09 Sep 2012 13:04:03 CEST Group : Productivity/Multimedia/Sound/Utilities Size : 941630 License : BSD-3-Clause Signature : RSA/SHA256, Fr 24 Feb 2012 09:32:23 CET, Key ID b88b2fd43dbdc284 Source RPM : mumble-1.2.3-10.3.1.src.rpm Build Date : Di 21 Feb 2012 10:52:47 CET Build Host : build34 Relocations : (not relocatable) Packager : http://bugs.opensuse.org Vendor : openSUSE URL : http://mumble.sourceforge.net/ Summary : Voice Communication Server for Gamers Description : Low-latency, high-quality voice communication for gamers.
