Please provide a CUPS error_log file and "lpstat" output
exactly as follows:
1.
Remove all possibly pending jobs from all print queues
using the command (as root): "cancel -a"
2.
Enter the line "LogLevel debug" in /etc/cups/cupsd.conf
(either change an existing LogLevel line or add a new one).
3.
Stop the cupsd ("rccups stop").
4.
Move /var/log/cups/error_log* to another location
(or delete it using "rm /var/log/cups/error_log*")
to avoid having to search through gigantic log files.
5.
Start cupsd ("rccups start").
6.
Print one job using the command
"echo Hello1 | lp -t Hello1 -d <queue-name>"
7.
Wait until it is completely printed.
8.
Suspend and resume your machine.
9.
Print a second job using the command
"echo Hello2 | lp -t Hello2 -d <queue-name>"
10.
Wait two minutes (the second job should not print out).
11.
What does "lpstat -r -a -p -o" show?
Please provide the output of this command.
12.
Reboot your machine.
13.
What does "lpstat -r -a -p -o" show now?
Please provide the output of this command.
14.
Wait until the second job gets completely printed.
15.
Copy the current CUPS error_log file using the command
"cp /var/log/cups/error_log /tmp/error_log"
16.
Attach /tmp/error_log as MIME type text/plain
to this bug (please set "text/plain" explicitely).
