http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=902974 Bug ID: 902974 Summary: Base:System/systemd: Enhancement python bindings enabled by default. Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE.org Version: unspecified Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE 13.1 Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: 3rd party software Assignee: systemd-maintainers@suse.de Reporter: aboe76@gmail.com QA Contact: opensuse-communityscreening@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- Opensuse systemd doesn't ship with the python bindings could these be enabled. I'm building salt packages which uses these bindings to notify systemd of starting the service. Upstream bug reports: https://github.com/saltstack/salt/issues/16912 https://github.com/saltstack/salt/issues/16982 If Opensuse/sles could ship with python bindings enabled in systemd it would make packaging this much easier. At the moment I have a workaround in place where I patch the default service file shipped from upstream to disable the Notify and use Simple as startup. I would like to see that this patch isn't needed anymore. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
