disabling patches on the 4.19.7 kernel no longer affects anything, just made several reboots with different patch shutdown options, and without shutting down at all, the result is the same. At the moment, my performance is only affected by disabling hyper-threading.
This does not match my experience. Using spectre_v2=retpoline makes the default kernel perform just as well as the vanilla kernel.
I'm using kernel 4.19.7-1-default.
Checked on my laptop http://paste.opensuse.org/view//92547497, the difference really is with the parameter spectre_v2=retpoline, but still this is not enough, a conflict of patches may have occurred somewhere, I saw a package with a bunch of patches somewhere, and a few were very old, 6 years ago were created, most likely they have not been needed for a long time, and now such patches can cause only problems -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
