Stefan,
greedy hueristics make no noticable performance change here (I didn't rerun benchmarks). Jeff and I pretty much both run openSUSE 11.0, Gnome, Compiz, Gnome-Terminal. I run with desktop effects, unsure as to jeff, but I assume he does the same.
As mentioned in the other report, the performance degredation is enough to make the system frustrating to work on (waiting for firefox to scroll, waiting for pgup/pgdn in vim to respond, etc)

Geoff I want to clarify you one important point, Atleast in Intel 965 based IGP There is no performance degradation in EXA when Greedy Heuristics used without enabling Desktop Effects, So you will see the effectiveness of Gready Heuristics only if you disable Desktop Effects and EXA is not that bad if Desktop Effects not running, -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
