Noting that the installer couldn't find the "parted" program even though it was
was installed, I thought it might be a configuration issue where the installer
wasn't calling the full path of parted.
As a work-around, I created symlinks where I thought the installer might be
calling parted.
/
/root
/usr/bin
/usr/local/bin
/live
for example, from the /root directory, I entered "ln -s /usr/sbin/parted ." as
the root user.
Yes, I know that creating so many symlinks is a bit hackish, but it did work
for me. The installer was able to complete the full installation of the OS, and
I'm writing from Tumbleweed at the moment.
I think installer maintainers should call the full path of parted
(/usr/sbin/parted) as part of their script to resolve this issue.
