The debug messages from shim would output to the serial port. Alternatively, you first move to a Tumbleweed snapshot that has xz compressed rpms with zstd support: http://opensuse.zq1.de/history/20200801/tumbleweed/repo/oss/ You could also boot from the Tumbleweed iso and choose "Upgrade" https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/1731249 shows, this even works when starting at Leap 15.0 Apparently there are not that many Tumbleweed users that update their OS that rarely, so IMHO, given the above workarounds, closing as WONTFIX seems the best. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

That version of "/usr/bin/yum" might work better.
