The test will be run for longer of course to see if we could see those ATA problems. I will also try that with physical SSD however not with Samsung, as I don't have an access to it. In the meantime I would like to point out this known problem of certain incompatibilities between Samsung SSDs and AMD SATA controllers. PackageKit's zypp backend will dup the system for tumbleweed. Previously, a list of available updates were passed to update-packages call, and zypp backend looks for updates for each package in the list. Due to this, libvlc5-3.0.0-2.1 was choosen for the update instead of libvlc5-2.1.5-111.1. Closing this.
