Please report this issue to the Libreoffice developers on
bugs.documentfoundation.org as this has nothing to do with distribution that is
used.

Hi,
I've noticed that on Leap 42.1 the mariadb client does not seem to respect
/etc/inputrc and ~/.inputrc correctly.
If you have default /etc/inputrc and ~/.inputrc (from /etc/skel) then the
maria/mysql console behaves strange regarding key bindings like Alt-PgUP and
others. Seems that it only uses the poor ~/.inputrc and ignores the long
/etc/inputrc.
It works again when
- removing ~/.inputrc (and re-login)
or
- unsetting $INPUTRC
or
- copying /etc/inputrc to ~/.inputrc.
On openSUSE 13.1 this was no issue. openSUSE 13.1 is using readline 5.2 instead
of 5.1. Maybe updating Leap to 5.2 would fix the issue. I have not tried it
yet.
I've also not tried on 42.2.

I use openSUSE Tumbleweed with KDE Plasma 5 (X version, not Wayland).
LibreOffice is from the official repository.
This problem has been there for more than one month (maybe two or more).
Procedure to produce,
1. Create a new spreadsheet in Calc,
2. Save as .xlsx format and check "Protect with password",
3. Close the document,
4. Open the saved document through "File" --> "Recent Documents" and input the
password,
5. Open KSysGuard to watch the increasing memory usage of soffice.bin
This issue also occurs within a newly created system account.
