This is an old issue that I have seen for many years and it is not resolved yet. I'm experiencing very high CPU when copying big number of files from my backup to the HDD on a newly installed system. I'm talking about 300+ GB data of various types. The issue results in freezing of programs, audio lags when playing music, unresponsive desktop. I don't know exactly what causes this problem but I assume it is something in the kernel because I have this problem since openSUSE 12.1, I've also seen it on all Fedora versions I've used (17-22), tested on both ext4 and XFS on 3 different machines (HP635, HP ProBook 4540s and my current Fujitsu Celsius H710 - all 3 of them with a different hardware). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

He also can work with phonon-backend-vlc and phonon4qt5-backend-vlc, but in the current installation dragonplayer fails with " ~/.dragonplayer> dragon PHONON-VLC [FATAL__] libVLC: could not initialize PHONON-VLC [FATAL__] Phonon::VLC::vlcInit: Failed to initialize VLC " If dragonplayer should work with phonon-backend-vlc there must be added a symbolic link during installation: /usr/lib64/vlc/plugins must be linked to /usr/local/lib64/vlc/plugins dragon is only searching in /usr/local/lib64/vlc/plugins, not in /usr/lib64/vlc/plugins and can not start the phonon-backend-vlc. If this link is added dragonplayer can work with phonon-backend-vlc and phonon4qt5-backend-vlc. Especially if you use Packman as well anyway. Remove that repo and do a full switch to Packman. A mixture of different vlc versions will always cause problems, because the plugins probably only work with the very same libvlc version. Oh, and neither dragon nor phonon looks for any vlc plugins at all. It uses libvlc(core), and that would look for the plugins. Maybe you have some self-compiled libvlc(core) in /usr/local/lib(64) or similar? At least the card detection was kicked off, but it didn't proceed. I updated / corrected the driver code and the patch again. The KMP is being rebuilt now. Please check it later and retest it again.
