--- Comment #8 from Gerben Jansen <gerben.jansen(a)aol.com> ---
Same here, have a Lenovo T530 which as running Leap 42.3 fine.
Upgraded to Leap 15 and got the same error message "failed to start setup
virtual console"
Monitor show those triangular glitches.
the login window (where i type in my password) is sluggish.
Over time I had pretty good experience with upgrading openSuSE, I think i
started at 11.3 on this Laptop and upgrades were OK until 42.3, however this
Leap 15 upgrade is below standards i think.
Question: is there a way so that i can redo the upgrade (especially the
graphics part) ?

1106876 is access restricted ...
At least modifying the usershare settings does work now, haven't tested
anything else yet, although it probably works as well.

4.1.1 Initial Configuration of an Authentication Server
https://doc.opensuse.org/documentation/leap/security/html/book.security/cha…
"To set up an authentication server for user account data, make sure the
yast2-auth-server, openldap2, krb5-server, and krb5-client packages are
installed; YaST will remind you and install them if one of these packages is
missing. For Kerberos support, the krb5-plugin-kdb-ldap package is required."
"Start YaST as root and select Network Services › Authentication Server to
invoke the configuration wizard."
After installing all the packages, the "Authentication Server" does not appear.
The "Create New Directory Server" still appears on Yast.

It is expected that gnome-software will open flatpakref files downloaded from
e.g. flathub, however this is not the case. Per default, flatpakref can only be
opened with gedit. However, it is possible to work around:
If you do a "zypper install flatpak" and run "gnome-software
--local-filename=someflatpakreffile.flatpakref" it installs perfectly.
It would really improve user friendliness of LEAP if flatpak was supported via
gnome-software.

Strace of me launching wxMaxima
I am unable to launch wxMaxima since the last few TW snapshots, I believe it
started to fail since 2018-11-22.
It just segfaults when attempting to launch it, and of course I don't really
have experience in this kind of issues.
Both maxima and xmaxima are working perfectly fine, only wxmaxima is affected.
I have attached an strace from an attempt at launching it.
