Laptop sitting in a docking station to which an external monitor connected via DVI. After installation of LEAP, the "GNOME logon screen" is shown on the laptop monitor and the external one is a display extension positioned to the right side of the laptop monitor. After logon the display settings are now changed to: - disable laptop monitor - make external monitor the primary display So now the GNOME desktop is only shown on the external monitor, because this is the screen I'm using (laptop lid is open, but I do not use the display). issue 1: when logging of, the password prompt is suddenly shown on the laptop monitor again - although the display has been disabled. expected result: when laptop display is disabled within the GNOME session I expect that gdm is following this policy as well. (FYI, Windows does it this way for years already). issue 2: when undocking (while primary display is the external monitor and the laptop monitor is disabled), there is no automatic switch over to the laptop monitor - it stays dark. It is necessary to navigate to a console, issue init 3 and then init 5 again. This is a major bummer, as applications are closed (e.g. Windows 7 VM on virtualbox). expected result 1: when laptop is undocked, the laptop monitor is enabled again. expected result 2: when laptop is docked in, the laptop monitor is disabled again and the primary display is the external monitor. What happens now is that GNOME every now and then is taking the focus, means, mouse clicks and keyboard go nowhere. Example: pressing ALT+F4 does not close the active application window on Windows 7, but showing a popup to shutdown the virtual machine. It's install script is looking for Apache2::SOAP. It uses the following command to test for SOAP. perl -mApache2::SOAP -e 'print "PERL module Apache2::SOAP is available\n"' Leap 42.1 does not have Apache2:SOAP it has Apache::SOAP, when I change the command to test for Apache::SOAP I get an error saying that it is looking for mod_perl. The system does not have a mod_perl file it has mod_perl2. I put a post in the Forum asking if someone can confirm the problem, but have not had any answers yet. I have installed Apache mod_perl and SOAP on a second 42.1 computer here and got the same error. https://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php/514206-Apache-SOAP-errors If a package is missing then it is not included as a dependency for mod_perl or SOAP. Dave W Also I am not sure if it is a bug or a config option that I have not found, but getent hosts does not show any IPv6 host info. From 13.1 on getent (hosts ahosts ahostsv4 ahostsv6) only shows IPv4 hosts and the output is the same for each database. For networking the configuartion is done by default. Rewrote /boot/grub2/grub.cfg with YaST and the German language boot screen returned. See bottom of the screenshot. I then added a new panel where I added the digital clock too. When adding the date (same settings as for the clock in the lower panel) the representation is different. Instead of having the date next to the clock (which my preference is), the data in the upper channel is cramped below the time, which looks terrible. On the initial grub screen I set language to "German". After system was installed, I wanted to switch back to English, so I went into YaST -> Sprache (Language) and selected English US.
