yast ncurses menus not properly formatted for tumbleweed ppc64 guest install
Detailed flow:
* On a Power KVM host I defined a libvirt twppc64.xml
using the Tumbleweed-BE-DVD-ppc64-Snapshot20150505-Media.iso
retrieved from https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/60778/asset/3110
* from a ssh session to the PowerKVM I started a screen window
from which I started the ppc64 guest.
===
virsh define twppc64.xml
virsh start --console twppc64
===
* I captured successively the ncurses menus and did a
yast2_ncurse_bad_format.tgz tarball with all those png files.
* The first problem is that the text is not properly aligned
eg: yast2_img1_installation.png
* The 2nd problem is that some characters from previous menu
are not cleaned up when new menu is presented.
eg: yast2_img4_installation_option.png
* The third problem is popup window hardly visible
eg: yast2_img9_confirm_password.png

When using NetworkManager, network interfaces does not listed in firewall.
I have to manually configure it using Wicked Service first, to make it
registered in firewall. And then use networkManager back.
This is troublesome, for example when setting up internet sharing you can't
proceed to zone assign and Network masquerade until you do the step above.

krunner showing non existing VT sessions in parallel to existing ones
Opens a new session with the applet from desktop.
You will find that krunner opens as expected but that for every VT session
opened there is a "ghost session" showing the very same VT as unused.
When you logout from several users these ghosts persist up to a complete
reboot.
VT sessions once closed should be closed without residual VTs showing up.
VT sessions open should not be accompanied by a VT session ghost telling unused
session.
I attach a screen-shot to make the thing clearer.
Repeatable always.

screen showing output of vbeinfo
i'm using an AMD GPU and a 2560x1440 native display.
on this configuration, the GRUB2 UI is slow to the point of unusability; it
takes a full second to flip from one menu item to another, 3-5s just to display
the boot menu, before booting starts.
drawing the chameleon logo is visible line-by-line, too
lowering the resolution helps, at 1280x960x32 the speed is almost usable,
1280x960x16 is sluggish but OK (so i'm sticking with this resolution for now)
my GPU is reported as follows:
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Cape
Verde XT [Radeon HD 7770/8760 / R7 250X]
detected graphics modes are attached

Hi!
In Tumbleweed, I have been using the package qt-creator to develop Qt
applications for a long time. I have always complained about the old
version, since qt-creator is 3.2.2 and the newest version available is
3.5.1. However, it turns out that the newest version is already available in
Tumbleweed (and in Leap) under the name libqt5-creator.
Is there any good reason to name the package as libqt5-creator? I think this
is very confusing. Since it has a lib* in the name, I did not even look at
the description, so I was using a very old version all the time.
Thus, I am wondering if it is possible to change the name of libqt5-creator
to qt5-creator or something else.

Running yast http-server module, making basically no changes to get basic
config. No vhosts, ssl, etc.
Btw a server name can't be entered, the value is going to /dev/null.
Starting apache gives:
Mar 27 14:37:35 cubie start_apache2[9361]: Module "authz_default" is not
installed, ignoring.
Mar 27 14:37:35 cubie start_apache2[9361]: Check the APACHE_MODULES setting in
/etc/sysconfig/apache2.

misspelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration

Mar 27 14:37:36 cubie systemd[1]: Failed to start The Apache Webserver.
In the yast http-server server-modules tab authz_default is listed with a
description of "unknown", i.e. none. The module does not exist on disk!
Editing /etc/sysconfig/apache2 adding authz_core to APACHE_MODULES makes
authz_core also be shown with a description of "unknown".
systemctl restart apache2
is now successful.
This bnc:835484#6 basically says yast http-server module is foobared, so it's
probably best to uninstall it.

This is something I started to see a bit ago, and since it now happened
twice today I figured I'd report it.
When I obtain mail via fetchmail, using procmail as the delivery agent,
occasionally I get corrupted mails like the following (in mbox format):

This does not happen daily, and I believe it happens especially when
I have been offline for several hours and a few dozen e-mails are
delivered at once (though this specific case was not that).
The same configuration had been working for years without ever showing
this problem, and it looks like looking on the Alpine side (or procmail,
though less likely I guess, since it essentially only reads
:0
INBOX
)
