(e.g. http://michael.stapelberg.de/Artikel/video_chat_with_pidgin) I cannot find any way to enable this in our pidgin though. Console keymaps are highly dependent on settings in /etc/sysconfig/console. New converted layout requires to set these values of variables: CONSOLE_UNICODEMAP="" CONSOLE_SCREENMAP="" CONSOLE_MAGIC="" CONSOLE_ENCODING="UTF-8" also CONSOLE_FONT must be changed to one, that is UTF-8 and covers as many characters. Fedora seems to use eurlatgr console font, that covers LatArCyrHeb and plus provides more special characters (according to https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/NewDefaultConsoleFont ). openSUSE has eurlatgr console font as file:///usr/share/kbd/consolefonts/eurlatgr.psfu.gz I tested it and it seems the best one! Even ←↓↑→ characters are displayed in console with this font. We also can set for most layouts: /etc/sysconfig/console CONSOLE_FONT="eurlatgr" EurLatGr provides greater coverage for Latin and Greek characters, but at the cost of Arabic, Cyrillic and Hebrew characters being dropped. This is a very important capability which worked fine through v3.12, but no longer works in v3.16 in Tumbleweed. This is a serious regression for those impacted. I've reverted to v3.12 built from openSUSE-13.2 source, but that's obviously not a good long term solution :) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. insert patch 2. send to someone 3. recipient sees tabs converted to spaces, ie patch is busted upon receipt Actual Results: recipient receives inline broken patch which can't be applied Expected Results: recipient receives the unmodified preformatted plain text we asked for when poking "Plain text" and "Preformatted". I also noticed that when I save a message as mbox, the resulting file contains trailing carriage returns as well. I don't think this is a big issue but they documentation goes out of it's way to make a point of keeping permissions on the nut daemon restricted so I thought it should be noted. Perhaps just a documentation change to let people know that it might be necessary would be enough. The card works fine with openSUSE 13.1 and also Factory, just that on the latter I also had to add a file with options cdc_ncm prefer_mbim=N to /etc/modprobe.d (which was not necessary with the older kernel). However, whenever I suspend-to-RAM and resume I need to restart ModemManager with `systemctl restart ModemManager` or no connection can be established.
