For procmail, add these two lines to your .procmailrc: LOGFILE=$HOME/procmail.log LOGABSTRACT=all For alpine there is no option in the config file to enable debugging, it has to be started with the "-d debuglevel" switch, but I don't know which level (0..9) would be appropriate.
