This prevents the use of nouveau after you uninstall the driver. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install the nvidia driver from the official nvidia repo 2. Uninstall it again Actual Results: NO_KMS_IN_INITRD="yes" is still set in /etc/sysconfig/kernel, therefore nouveau doesn't work and fbdev is used instead. Expected Results: nouveau should work fine after uninstallation of the nvidia driver This is at least true for the G03 driver, haven't checked the other versions yet. When trying it the customer sees the following output: > zip -Trjq ./testarch-20121015.zip ./* -i\(a)onefile.txt warning [./ziIfGIOV]: zipfile is empty test of ./testarch-20121015.zip FAILED zip error: Zip file invalid, could not spawn unzip, or wrong unzip (original files unmodified) Without the -T option (to test/verify the created zip was valid) only the first line is returned about the 'zipfile' being empty. I confirmed that this worked on SLES 11 SP1 which uses zip 2.32. Reproducible: Always Expected Results: Work with the two options as before, or document why that is not possible.
