When doing so yast tells me that the it will remove other packages to accomplish this and crashes with a weird error mesage when i press the button to confirm. (2) Also when adding packages which needs installing other packages to be installed to due package dependencies when i click the button to confirm the action the softwaremanager crashes. Workaround: I installed yast2-qt frontend instead an using this. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start Yast2-gtk Softwaremanager 2. Select or remove packages having dependencies which needs to be confirmed 3. confirm the changes 4. Yast2-gtk crashes with error message in windows. LO has spell checks and grammar checks. Nice. I don't like to see red or blue waving lines underlining my handywork. When the word “openSUSE” happens at the start of a sentence, LO warns that the sentence should start in uppercase, which is absolutely correct in Spanish. They are right, that's the rule. No exceptions. There is a Royal Academy organization taking care of how Spanish is used: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Real_Academia_Espa%C3%B1ola, http://www.rae.es/rae.html. Welcome in GRUB", screen blanked and remain blank until the login screen. After any installation Grub 2 was not showing up. I followed many forum posts how to make it visible. I tried experimenting with different distributions: Ubuntu, CentOS, Mint. To make sure that there were no leftovers I low formatted HD Back to OpenSUSE 13.1. When I changed to Legacy Grub (using YAST) I could see its menu but without other OS (Linux Mint). I tried also tried YAST>Boot Loader Settings>Other>Reread configuration from disk. Also played with the "Graphical Console" settings in YaST->System->Boot Loader->Boot Loader Options by setting: autodetected by grub, 1280x800, 1024x768, 1024x600, 800x600 640x480 NO MENU. Finally I disabled it completely - Grub 2 menu was shown OK. Even with Mint Moderators from SUSE forum suggested to submit a bug report. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Every time after any installation of Open SUSE, Ubuntu, Mint 2. 3. Actual Results: After any installation Grub 2 does not show up. Just the message "GRUB loading. Welcome in GRUB", screen blanks and remains blank until the login screen appears. Expected Results: GRUB2 menu after booting Let me give you some more info. PC is a Sony laptop from 2006.
