If I right-click it and choose "Add to Favorites", there also won't be an icon on the left side of the overlay. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Launch the GNOME Activities overlay. 2. Click "Show Applications" on the left side. 3. Scroll down to the second page. 4. See the entry for Midnight Commander. Actual Results: There is no icon for Midnight Commander. Also, if I right-click it and choose "Add to Favorites", there won't be an icon on the favorites bar on the left side of the overlay. PDF) out of the Firefox downloadmanager. This freezing takes some minutes, after that everything is running fine again. No Error Messages seen. Under Gnome or eg. LXDE that problem doesnt happend, with same account and Firefox profile. I could see the same problem with Thunderbird attachments too - just didnt test with Gnome and LXDE. So maybe it is a general problem with gtk programms under kde. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. start KDE4 with an account on NFS (in my case NFSv4 Krb5) 2. start Firefox 3. Download anything (sometimes u need to download 2 or 3 things before the freezing happens) 4. wait some Minutes then freezing is over. Unfortunately debugging in my favourite envirenoment Qt Creator with gdb is broken since then. There, gdb was in version 7.5.1. and a backtrace.py was still part of it.
