Temporary workaround would be to add a Conflicts: to the yast2 rpm. libproxy should read the kde settings without loading qt4 into the currently running binary as this could cause a crash. It could do so by forking a new process instead of loading the plugin. In contrast, on openSUSE 12.3 the very same printer works flawlessly. Some incompatible change either on openSUSE or on hplip - side from 12.3 to 13.1 is causing the failure. Moreover, lsusp does not reliably detect the printer, it is only detected if it is powered on an off after boot (see here: http://www.opensuse-forum.de/themen/hardware-und-treiber/9712-hp-laserjet-1…) When using the latest driver as provided by hp, the printer is usuable again. (download from http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/install/install/index.html) Both the fact that the printer is not detected at all by cups and by the distributed version of hplip is bad, even more as I know that it works out of the box on openSUSE 12.3. Additionally, I have translated ALL the yast lines in opensuse-i18n to Russian. All was fully translated and working fine in 12.3. However, I found two modules not using existing translations. services-manager was introduced only in this version ang (I guess) it obsoletes the runlevel module. But yast2-trans still includes only runlevel.mo and not a single line from it is used. Maybe just an incorrect rename issue? hwinfo was fully translated ages ago (IIRC, 11.1 release), but now it shows only a few lines in Russian, most of the text is in English. y2log shows a lot of attempts to translate to Russian lines that should not be translated, so this is some incorrect update.
