The drive usually spins down, as it is used for backup. When I first started Skype on openSUSE 12.3 everything worked just fine. However, when I tried changing the microphone input level in KMix during a test call, from that point on my microphone stopped working. After I closed Skype and started it again, the microphone input level was set to zero and increasing the input level in KMix had no effect, I could still not hear myself during a test call. Only after I installed pavucontrol I was able to see what was really going on. Essentially, I soon as I would touch the input level slider for Skype Input in KMix, the input level would immediately go to zero and any further attempts to change it would simply keep it at zero. The only way to increase the input level is to do it from pavucontrol. I tested openSUSE 12.3 on two laptops (Dell Inspiron and HP Pavilion) as well as inside VirtualBox 4.2.10 (using its default ICH AC97 audio controller) and the problem is fully reproducible. It is not possible to use the -B feature, therefore it cannot run in background. I also tried to write a logfile, which is also impossible. I highly recommend to re-establish the original iptraf v3.0.0 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Simply try it. 2.iptraf -l eth0 -t 1 -B -L /tmp/iptraf.log Actual Results: v3.0.0 returns the user to the console prompt and writes to the logfile after the timeout. The given example should create a file /tmp/iptraf.log and finish it after one minute. NO CHANCE with iptraf-ng v1.1.3.1 !!! But the tgt package mistakenly uses the same firewall configuration file, /etc/sysconfig/SuSEfirewall2.d/services/iscsitarget, that the iscsitarget package used. It usually happens after vpn and network is shut down. Nothing happens if I do sysrq-e, sysrq-i (send TERM and KILL to everybody). I can only press ctrl-alt-del. This broke symlinks in /etc/font/conf.d/ *and* the README (documentation) refers to "../conf.avail" (from the conf.d directory), which exists but *doesn't* have the files in it. Summary: *some* files installed to /etc/fonts/conf.avail *some* files installed to /usr/share/fontconfig/conf.avail documentation refers to the former. symlinks that *were* to files that were in the former are now broken. /usr/share/fontconfig/conf.avail is pretty opaque compared to the (reasonably intuitive) location of /etc/fonts/conf.avail. Why the change? Running the following command: systemctl status xinetd.service xinetd.service - LSB: Starts the xinet daemon. Be aware that xinetd doesn't start if no service is configured to run under it. To enable xinetd services go to YaST Network Services (xinetd) section. Reenter Network Services to find it is still disabled. 6. Check with terminal command: systemctl status xinetd.service Actual Results: Network Services (xinetd) is not enabled. Add "-ypsetme" to YPBIND_OPTIONS in /etc/sysconfig/ypbind 2. systemctl restart ypbind.service Actual Results: systemctl status ypbind.service shows that -ypsetme was not passed as an option to ypbind. Or any other setting from /etc/sysconfig/ypbind. Expected Results: -ypsetme should be passed as an option to ypbind.
