In 11.4 it was easy to add and run a weather applet. GNOME3 as included in openSuSE 12.X seems to lack that functionality. But its functionality is already doubled by systemd-logind and ConsoleKit is declared deprecated long ago. Still the following packages require it: PolicyKit gnome-session-core hal polkit xdm xorg-x11 ConsoleKit ConsoleKit-32bit ConsoleKit-devel ConsoleKit-doc ConsoleKit-x11 gdm kdm lightdm package-lists-openSUSE-GNOME-cd package-lists-openSUSE-KDE-cd package-lists-openSUSE-X11-cd package-lists-openSUSE-images Please remove these dependencies or make systemd-logind to provide ConsoleKit. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Start UEFI PC and Select openSUSE 12.3 RC1 disk in EFI mode 2.Start Boot Process with intent on install to an existing GPT disk (Has Beta-1) 3.Boot screen is not readable and no blind kernel selection works. Actual Results: Installation of openSUSE 12.3 RC1 in EFI mode Fails and installs nothing.
