I cannot get past the yast2 default screen since updating to 13.1 . I even reinstalled everything but nothing. Before reinstall, Yast2 wouldn't even start. Now, it shows all the options but no matter how many times I try or how many updates I add, nothing happens. If I start a terminal is super user mode and run yast2 from there, a gtk yast2 appears and I can install software or use the yast modules. Tried various things, even removing ~/.Xauthority. Both show (process:4432): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_slice_set_config: assertion 'sys_page_size == 0' failed when started from the command line. There are several posts (also very recent ones) on the Firefox Bugzilla about this error message for FF and TB. None on opensuse. There, it is suggested that starting with the environment variable G_SLICE=always-malloc is a work around, but that doesn't work in my case. Behaviour: After first start of FF, the FF-window appears, with the entries on the main menu, but without the corresponding icons. Starting it a second - or third, fourth etc.) the icons appear also, and a subwindow which lists the sessions that could not be opened (which is all sessions). No input is taken from mouse or keyboard, and also closing the window does not work (until KDE kicks in and let the user stop FF or TB). Also - but maybe not related - some applications are very, very slow starting up. For example to start dolphin it takes 75 secs. To restart or shutdown from the KDE menu it takes 2 minutes for the little stop-menu to appear, and another 75 secs before the real shutdown is started after choosing restart or shutdown. Shutdown as root from a terminal has it's normal speed. Computer A -- no LVM, encrypted ext4 partition, installer recognizes it. Computer B -- LVM, encrypted ext4 partitions on it, installer recognizes just existence of LVM, but not its partitions. Here is the real list (see the attachment). sda2, sdb1, sdc1 -- it is OK to be not recognized, because I didn't give password for those, so installer SHOULD see them as generic ones. sdd1 -- this is surprise, it is just /boot partition, no LVM, not encrypted, and only thing installer can say it is ext2 (it is correct). sda1 -- this is where LVM sits, why it is not recognized? and 2 LVM partitions -- correct names, but as you can see in the first column, not recognized at all. I don't care about /home, because it won't be upgraded, but /root partition is about to upgraded, so it has to be recognized I stopped upgrade at this point. Major: because it stops system from being upgraded (11.4 -> 13.1). Btw. is there anything I can do, to correct those errors, and proceed with upgrade?
