RC2 DVD image: openSUSE-DVD-Build0091-x86_64.iso Acroread (i586) was installed from the Add-On DVD: openSUSE-Addon-NonOss-BiArch-Build0091-i586-x86_64.iso The installation only works if the **online** non-oss & oss repos are added, where the missing package is available for x86_64. Still, I think the Addon biarch DVD should contain all required dependencies for i586 and x86_64 architectures to install the software it contains! Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install 12.2 RC2 from x86_64 DVD 2. Add Add-on DVD as repository 3. Restart System and look at the menu options for the secondary hard drive copy of openSUSE Actual Results: ALL Grub 2 menu entries that show up in a secondary hard drive Advanced menu have the exact same name, over and over again. You can not determine the kernel version attached to each advanced menu entry. Expected Results: The Secondary Advanced menus entries should include the kernel version just as the main Advanced menu does. Further, the hard drive device name, should be attached to the Advanced menu option name instead of being attached to each and every advanced menu entry option name. This causes Emacs to run without a style applied, which looks really ugly (see attached screenshot). Other GTK application do not have this problem. When Emacs is started from a terminal, it prints the following message two or three times: (emacs:19667): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: plugin 'oxygen-gtk' failed to register type 'OxygenStyle' Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Install openSUSE 11.4 from the KDE live CD; install Emacs; run Emacs. Actual Results: Emacs looks ugly. Expected Results: Emacs should use the oxygen-gtk style. Package versions: emacs-23.2-7.4.i586, oxygen-gtk-1.0.1-3.1 (same result with oxygen-gtk-1.0.3-2.1 from the KDE 4.6 repository) Emacs *can* use the oxygen-gtk style. On a different system, I had already made them work together, but I don't know what exactly resolved the problem. At https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=263182 it was reported that the problem had been resolved by updating to a newer version of oxygen-gtk, but this was not the real solution. At https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=268457#c7, Hugo Pereira Da Costa added the following comment: "My best guess is that emacs (dirty dirty) forces pre-loading some libraries that are not the ones against which oxygen-gtk was compiled. As a result, oxygen-gtk gets (and reports) undefined symbols, and therefore cannot be loaded. There is really nothing we can do about it (strictly speaking, its an emacs bug; and it is not the only one doing the same *bad* things)." On my other system (which does not exist anymore), the problem was gone after I compiled oxygen-gtk from git and installed it locally (however, this does not work on my current system). My only guess is that I installed some additional libraries before compiling the package. Connecting a Canon SX 210IS, I can see thumbnails, but image download fails. Seen with both 2.2.0 from openSUSE12.1 and 2.5.0 from KDE:Factory. On the console the following message appears: Could not open library '/usr/lib64/kde4/kio_file.so'. I have a Realtek RTL8188SU USB wireless network card that openSUSE sees and allows me to configure (static IP, through "yast lan"), but it does not associate to the AP. The AP I'm trying to connect to uses WPA2-PSK AES. "iwconfig" shows a status of "not associated", but "ifconfig" does show the correct (static) IP information.
