I've tested with Build0151 where it worked still correctly, and since I think no specific changes to yast2-installation and/or yast2-country were done, I suspect the UI problems. Besides not correctly switching the language in any UI, ncurses font is broken during installation. I checked and the directory exists: lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 27 Jun 11 02:38 rpm -> /mounts/mp_0000/var/lib/rpm # cd /mounts/mp_0000/var/lib # ls -l rpm drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 3 May 10 07:51 rpm but the problem is that the device has no space left: # df -h . Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/loop2 30M 30M 0 100% /mounts/mp_0000 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Reach Installation Settings 2.Ctrl+Alt+F1 3. error: can't create transaction lock on /var/lib/rpm/.rpm.lock (No such file or directory) 4. Ctrl+Alt+F2 5. # ls -l /var/lib # cd /mounts/mp_0000/var/lib # ls -l rpm # df -h . Actual Results: I am not sure what is the impact of this error. There were other problems with the installation (network setup failed, Xorg broke because of i915_dri, and Plasma is not well), but I am not sure either is related. Please use %set_permissions instead to only set permissions for files contained in kdebase3. I have encrypted swap and "/home". I tried moving the crypto to the "initrd" by adding "initrd" as the 4th column in the "/etc/crypttab" entries. I then ran "mkinitrd". On boot: I am prompted for luks key. I enter the key. There is a message "opening encrypted /dev/sda10" (sorry, not the exact wording), and nothing proceeds beyond that point. Note that this is not a plymouth problem, as I have disabled boot splash. My best guess is that something required is missing from the "initrd". To recover from this, I booted DVD system to rescue mode, removed the "initrd" from the "crypttab" entries, and rebuilt "initrd".
