Now I have the following problem: if I open a terminal, type (as root) yast2 and push the tab twice to get the list of available yast modules, then the list is incomplete. For instance, the sw_single module is not shown, but it is surely installed since I can use it. >From a message in the oS-factory mailing list, the cause should be: Some of the desktop files have "Exec=/sbin/yast ..." while other have "Exec=xdg-su -c /sbin/yast2 ...". Only the first once are shown. The script must be adapted. Running 'mount -av' showed that, despite having a credentials parameter, the wrong username was being supplied and a password was being prompted for. I can mount these shares by supplying user and pass on the commandline or directly in fstab. The issue seems to be the reading of the credentials file and/or the user of those details. It was present in 11.2 GTK+ GUI (as a combobox in the bottom part of the window) and it is present in 11.3 --qt GUI (as a radiobutton selection in the bottom part of the window, tab "Versions"). Yes, you can right click -> Show column -> Repository, but you can still only see the latest version repository and nothing else. You don't see other versions, you can not change the repository you want. (And even the Show column selection itself is forgot after quit.) Even "Options -> Allow vendor change" does not change the view in any way. Yes, you can run YaST2 --qt sw_single, but average GNOME user is not aware of it. Marking the bug as critical. It is a very annoing regression that makes impossible to perform some operations by an average user. For example this is not possible to do: - Select package from a particular repository. (Required while installing version sensitive library together with an application.) - Change a package from another repository. This is caused by the fact that kmail looses one line when writing it's configuration. In ~/.kde4/share/config there is a file called "mailtransports". Within it, the entry host=/usr/sbin/senmail is missing though configured via kmail. Copy and paste those files to a location on a Windows 7 machine Actual Results: Continual notifications appear in Windows prompting the user to retry copying due to "Too many files" being in use. Every login to ssh quits with: "Write failed: Broken pipe" sshd crashes with SIGSEGV while trying to strlen() an non-existent string. Same problem as here: http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=302964 I've applied the mentioned Patch and everything is working now. It's fixed upstream, but I think there's a Version Freeze on 11.3 so it's not possible to use a newer version. Some developer should attach the patch. btw: This patch is only a workaround! It prevents sshd of crashing, but AFAIK mounting doesn't work either this way. I have to "su - user" to mount encrypted partition after ssh-login. If this file is not available /usr/sbin/mkimapdcert is called to generate the certificate. The first test in that module is for the executable /usr/local/bin/openssl This file does not exist however. the result is that the certificate is not genererated. However courier-imap-ssl daemon is still started. The solution would be to generate a symbolic link /usr/local/bin/openssl to /usr/bin/openssl in the courier-imap package. However also /etc/init.d/courier-imap-ssl should not start the daemon if the the certificate is not generated. The check for /usr/local/bin/openssl should have an exit 1 in case this executable does not exist.
