Since gdm isn't working anymore for me (greeter doesn't show up), LightDM is the only alternative for someone, who use LXDE only and need to switch between users logged in. I didn't test what needs to be installed to see the gdm-greeter but it's not relevant in this case. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install LightDM and set it as Display Manager 2. After observing the behaviour a bit I found that KDM's passwort input field does not keep up with all entered characters. That happens always for the first input no matter if the boot is completely finished (when logging in after a few minutes after bootup). No idea what holds the keyboard input from being recognized but every second attempt succeeds immediately so it seems KDM comes only up to speed after some input. (Strange bugreport but it's definitely true here). I loged out and in again, but with a different window manager (IceWM and LXsomething): same result. I compiled Emacs 24.2 and installed it: same result. After the first boot, startup was controlled by systemd, but fortunately after the second boot, good old sysvinit was active. However some parts of systemd still seem to be active. The bug is that the NSF text fields are not disabled when you first enter the page, even though Local File is initially selected. These text fields are called "IP Address or Name of NSF Server" and "Remote Directory". If I run systemctl stop SuSEfirewall2_setup.service then systemctl status SuSEfirewall2_setup.service, /etc/init.d/SuSEfirewall2_setup status and yast firewall all agrees that the firewall is stopped. The same is true in the opposite direction: if the firewall is stopped and I start it in yast firewall, then systemctl and /etc/init.d/SuSEfirewall2_setup do not agree on the status of the firewall and yast firewall still thinks that the firewall is disabled. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.run yast firewall and start or stop the firewall 2. 3.
