Including user homes! When I do cvs checkout in $HOME/test, it says something like: cvs [checkout aborted]: could not chdir to /indirect/rawdata/myuser/test: No such file or directory In this case rawdata is an automounted nfs folder. The strange part is that it picks a random share. i.e. sometimes it says instead: cvs [checkout aborted]: could not chdir to /indirect/local/myuser/test: No such file or directory or cvs [checkout aborted]: could not chdir to /indirect/data1/myuser/test: No such file or directory Ofcause it cannot find the directories because the shall not be there. Sometimes it works as it should!!! Not that random means that it chooses the same directory not to find for some time. Then after say 10 minutes it is another one and after 10 more it works normally. I cannot find any correlation with the number of automounted nfs shares and when it is working. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. cd $HOME/test 2. cvs co somemodule Actual Results: cvs [checkout aborted]: could not chdir to /indirect/RANDOMDIR/myuser/test: No such file or directory Expected Results: sucessfull checkout. There are 3 ongoing problems I have noticed. 1. Autogen is missing anything something that brlCAD is looking for. Only about 3 directories down on openSuSE's 5.11.1. I downloaded 5.11.5 and it seems to go much further down. example 1/2/3 levels and 1/2/3/4/5/6+ levels on 5.11.5. 2. Autoconf appears to be missing a development file. Idownload the same version and installed it and fixed the problem. I also think it is the problem causing ${exec-prefix} to be totally missed. BrlCAD uses it and it sets install to /bin instead of prefix='/usr' and exec-prefix=${prefix}. It is to go to /usr/bin. 3. /usr/sbin/gpm fails to work as a console mouse on a AMD athlon-xp i586 and a x86-64 machine. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.compile BrlCAD autogen.sh/configure/make/make -n install look for /bin 2.compile BrlCAD automake will not make all Makefiles 3. Load from the NET and call yast2 setup the mouse gpm -m /dev/input/ -t psax2 Actual Results: 1. If its configured to plain ldap without the use of sssd, the packages pam_ldap and nss_ldap are not getting installed. This makes that a later login with a ldap account fail only an general error. Nss_ldap and pam_ldap should automaticly getting installed when the authentication is set to ldap. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install openSuSE 11.4 RC1 2. Set authentication to ldap at the user creation step (disable tls and sssd) 3. However I gnome user with same openSUSE-11.4 (build 0024) version using a GnomeLiveCD install has this working. The following was added to the grub menu options line init=/sbin/bootchartd For example, on the 32-bit LXDE, the following was noted in the /var/log/boot.msg (which illustrates kernel code): <5>[ 0.000000] Kernel command line: root=/dev/disk/by-id/ata-ST3320620A_9QFAJR66-part6 resume=/dev/disk/by-id/ata-ST3320620A_9QFAJR66-part3 splash=silent quiet vga=0x317 init=/sbin/bootchartd and later one observes this: <4>[ 8.777289] bootchart continuing boot However after boot is complete, there is no bootchart.tgz file present in /var/log nor is there any PNG file in /var/log. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. install bootcheck on an LXDE or KDE PC 2. put : init=/sbin/bootchartd #in options line of grub 3. boot and look in /var/log for files that were supposed to be created Actual Results: there is no bootchart.tgz file present in /var/log nor is there any PNG file in /var/log. Expected Results: There should be a bootchart.tgz file present in /var/log and there should be an associated PNG file in /var/log. This can be a useful application for debugging problems, so by it not functioning it may make it more difficult for providing support. I raised this bug against component "OTHER" because "Boot load configuration" did not appear appropriate.
