Some functionality may be restricted. 2. /usr/src/packages/BUILD/icedtea6-1.8.1/plugin/icedteanp/IcedTeaNPPlugin.cc:1506: thread 0x80940c0: Error: Failed to spawn applet viewer: Failed to execute child process "/etc/alternatives/../../bin/java" (No such file or directory) (note: that is before I did the temporary work around). This is really a bug in gtk-recordmydesktop itself but you can't change frames per second and other important options without the Advanced button working Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install package gtk-recordmydesktop 2. Remove package jack if you have it installed 3. Run gtk-recordmydesktop and press the Advanced button Actual Results: Nothing, unless you are running in console, where you can see it tries to run a component of jack and fails. Expected Results: Grant access to advanced options. On x86_64 it will however only check in /lib/security and never check /lib64/security. By that if e.g. pam-32bit is not installed pam --add --<module> will succeed even if the required pam-module is not present. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. During initial stage of setup, Select 'minimal installation' 2. On the installation summary screen, enter 'Software Selection' 3. Manually select 'KDE desktop' pattern 4. Continue installation. Actual Results: Installation will continue until mkinitrd is executed. mkinitrd will report an error, saying it cannot find libpng12.so. Expected Results: mkinitrd succeeds. I suspect this is simply a missing RPM dependency, caused by the move to libpng14. I've marked this as critical for two reasons: 1. It can cause an install to fail (always creates a bad impression). 2.
