The script (wiper.sh) depends on the utility rdev from util-linux. rdev was deprecated 3 years ago and was removed from util-linux in May 2010. http://www.spinics.net/lists/util-linux-ng/msg03170.html I have contacted hdparm's upstream maintainer (Mark Lord) for advice of whether he would remove the dependency or if rdev needs to be patched back into util-linux for opensuse 11.4 Tumbleweed is also effected at this point. It has been packaged." This is quite annoying - after a kernel upgrade in 11.4 M6 I could no longer use VirtualBox since the corresponding KMP package did not exist. Nor I could switch to the VirtualBox from virtualbox.org as they don't have a package for 11.4 and the one for 11.3 couldn't be cleanly installed. IMO the OpenSUSE virtualbox package should still support "vboxdrv setup" or perhaps "vboxdrv setup-really-really-i-am-sure" if you prefer to discourage users from compiling the modules. But being left out of luck after an upgrade to a testing kernel is no good.
